Minimum Qualification & Experience

 PhD in Organic chemistry/Chemistry from a reputed University / Institute

with excellent academic credentials.

 Post-doctoral research experience in a reputed university abroad

 Research publications and/or patents appreciated

 4-6 years of post-academic industrial research experience

 Desired candidate from pharma/chemical/agro/CRO/rubber chemicals

industry

Job Description: 

Ability to design and develop synthetic routes with safety, quality and desired yield.

 Knowledge in organic chemistry and various laboratory

techniques

 Cost effective chemical process development/scale up method and implement in plant scale

 New product development OR modifications required in the existing products manufactured

 Analytical data interpretation

 Ensure new products adhere to quality norms

 Collaborate with rubber/Insoluble Sulfur Application Lab team: understand rubber compounding techniques and related testing systems

 Manage and set-up new process chemistry R&D lab

 Drives innovation in the team by actively seeking

 contributions from team members

 Provides technical leadership to team members and ensure projects are delivered to achieve desired outcomes

 Review work plans and work allocation for assigned research projects

 Coordinate with SCM teams for sourcing of key starting material, intermediates, raw materials, fine chemicals & solvents from the domestic & international market, lab equipment and any other project requirements

 Continuous documentation and reporting of all research results obtained within the area of responsibility and the planned projects

 Ensure adherence to all safety / information security / quality norms related to research procedures

 Identify and implement process improvement inititatives under direction of Head – R&D

 Maximizing capacity and resources utilization

 Develop and upgrade capabilities to keep pace with the changing environmen
