Job Highlights

Support production with QA/QC support.

Responsible to initiate, evaluate, plan, direct and manage a team of chemist and report all activities related to R & D /QA/QC of Product/new products/improvements/cost saving measures.

Initiates, Investigates and implements new methods, process improvements and cost savings projects in product/Quality & Process.

Lead development of the ongoing process and new processes.

Lead QC and QA with timely trouble shooting and analysis with rectification in case of deviation as and when required

Develop & design process improvements for capacity enhancement and design trouble shooting experiments.

Provide lead in developing analytical methods for newly developed processes to accurately define the results.

Lead the process of scaling up operation from Laboratory to Commercial scale and be the part of plant management team & Transfer of Technology.

Generate & Evaluate innovative ideas for new products an process development on accordance to the market /customer needs.

Initiate/Execute/coordinate activities for developing laboratory & pilot plant infrastructure. Develop & execute experimental plan. Supervise & troubleshoot scale-up trials.

Write technical reports, publications and patents.

Ensure compliance as per applicable directives and acts.

Skill development of sub-ordinates through training and mentoring for effective utilization.

Coordinate Internationally for activities aligned.

Requirements

PhD in Chemistry preferably Polymers, Organic Chemistry

More then 10 Years of experience.

Good analytical skills. Independently handle GC, HPLC, Ion Chromatography, UV spectroscopy, Microscopic Analysis, IR Moisture analyzer

Six Sigma trained for statistical data evaluations

Demonstrates an ability to apply knowledge and experience to handle trouble shooting/new situations and a track record of good quality research.

Capable to guide, mentor and develop a team of Chemist

Good knowledge of MS Office tools and SAP
