Job Highlights

Execute Compliance to Environmental Protection Act & Factories act & Gujarat Factories Rules, MISHC rule with respect to Safety and Environment and Liaise with local authorities- DISH, PESO, Fire dept. and GPCB.

Coordinate with different plants for Site Legal compliance and submit the same to Head HSE promptly every quarter. Act as a single point of contact for legal Compliance portal for site.

Train all employees including contractors on Hazards at site. Comply with Site HSE training and program calendar. Arrange external faculty for training various safety subjects as in Training Calendar. Arrange mass awareness campaigns.

Inspect plants and report short-coming. Keep follow up with compliance.

Formulate site safety committee as per Factory Act and conduct regular meetings.

Make a team of Safety coordinators and meet once in a month to understand plant safety issues and make arrangement of resources/platform for solving the issues.

Coordinate with external agencies like Mutual aid response group for trainings, common meetings, new development in the region etc.

Coordination & active participation of Internal Safety audits in various plants. Documentation management including inspection reports, guidelines, SOP etc.

Active participation in Incident Investigation and PTW system. Arrange emergency mock drills, truncated mock drills, fire drills.

Prepare HSE budget and monitor it regularly in close coordination with the cost controller.

Ensure regular O&M of fire prevention and control system including fire hydrant system, fire detection system etc.

Requirements

M.Sc Chem/industrial Chem, Gujarat University with 06 to 08 years of experience / BE/B.Tech Chemical Engineer with 4 to 5 years’ experience.

Mandatory Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety approved by CLI/RLI/TEB, Gujarat (One year full time or Two years Part time)
