Key Responsibilities

Safe and Efficient Operation and maintenance of Boilers and Turbines including Economizer, Evaporator, Drum and Super heater, Condenser, Feed pumps, Ash handling and coal handling, DM Plant.

Ensure uninterrupted power and steam supply to process plants

Outage/ shutdown scheduling and planning.

Ensuring Boiler chemistry as per prescribed norms.

Check and control steam and power cost on daily basis.

Review and Monitoring Performance of the Operation and Maintenance Team.

Training and development of Power Plant Engineers and associated team members.

Analysis of Power Plant Breakdowns, Root cause identification for CAPA and promotion of Safe and Efficient Practices at all levels.

Improving system standards with implementation of ISO Integrated Management Systems.

Improving OEE by deploying TQM/TPM practices and reducing losses.

Ordering and stock maintaining of required spares and consumables for power block equipments

Ensuring record of all the Equipment History.

Reduce the expenditure by proper planning and control wastes.

Preparation of capital and revenue budget for power block, controlling expenditure with in the budget and New equipment Capex planning and scheduling.

Preparation of daily/monthly/shut reports and submitting to superiors/ other departments.

Any other responsibility which may be assigned by management from time to time
