Position: Assistant Manager - Quality Management

Location: Dahej, Gujarat

Job Requirements:

M.Sc in Chemistry with 2 to 5 years relevant experience in production and quality management

Knowledge of Analytical Instruments, Sampling RM, FG, In process material, Good Laboratory Practices, Integrated Management System etc.

Ability to understand issues by conducting RCA

Ability to understand Customer issues and resolve them efficiently


Objective of the Position:

To meet the quality control department process flow of the analytical testing of the incoming & outgoing material goes smooth on routine basis.

To maintain the calibration & maintenance of the instrument of Quality control department .

To handle the NCM related query in Quality control department

Responsibility for safety and adherence to environmental protection


Main Tasks:

Ensure safety standards during regular production by active involvement

Ensure quality and quantity of production with consistent monitoring and control of cost

Lead and manage shift team as an inspiring leader

Lead the implementation of safety procedures during shift hours

Ensure that permits given are in line with respective policies of the Company.

Responsible for different Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Jobs carried out during shift hours. Also ensure safety of the job, job location and equipment involved before, during and after the job completion

Ensure safe and controlled disposal of effluents as per company guidelines and in accordance with GPCB standards

Implementation of different standards and procedures: ISO9001/ ISO 14001 /IATF 16949

Added advantages if he knows on GMP/5S/RC and SOP/SOC preparations

Should work and lead as an Incident controller and troubleshoot in case of any emergency in plant

Overall equipment utilization and batch yield/ cost saving per ton of production

Co-ordination with mechanical/ electrical/instrumentation Team to carry out scheduled/ planned/ breakdown/ emergency maintenance

Responsible for the different audits carried out in plant/Supplier/Customer.

He should be able to Handle the AMC, Consumables, spares, troubles shooting of the lab instrument.co-ordinate with service engineer as an when required.

Co-ordinate with plant, supply chain, Technical team, Sales for the Quality improvement of the product, customer complaint & business opportunities.


RCMS Responsibilities:

Responsible to their Head of Department/ Functional Head for the implementation of the EHS Policy and the working to the requirements of the RC. Their particular Responsibilities and Accountabilities are to…

Set an example in safe working to personal under their supervision

Ensure that employees and contractors are informed of RC requirements

Assess employees safety performance and arrange any additional training requirements

Ensure that all RC rules, procedures, regulations and safe working practices are understood and adhered to by all employees and contractors.

Ensure that tools and equipment are used for their intended purpose, properly maintained and hazard free

Inspect the workplace on a routine basis for potential hazards and take appropriate action to eliminate them

Attend to all employee or contractor's concerns for RC and report them to the HOD/ Functional Head for action

Performs the role as defined in On-site Emergency Plan to mitigate the emergencies.
