Job Title Product Manager

Department: Business Excellence and Transformation

Sector: Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN)

Location: Pune

The job involves extensive travel to our sites /customer locations (40-50% of the time) 

Education: 

BE/B. Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Mining

R&D or Product & Process Support (preferably in explosive materials) is preferred.

Relevant Experience: 

Min. 15 years of Technical/ Operation/ R&D Experience/Product & Process support in the

Commercial/ Defence Explosives Industry

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate the customer needs and ensure product development on all aspects to meet customer/segment-specific applications

Manage a range of products through the various stages of the product life cycle.

Ensure a detailed investigation of the product issues, prepare an action plan and preparethe first response

Validate the changes, through lab-plant-field tests, made by manufacturing to ensure they are aligned with the objectives

Validate various claims, minimising exposure and liability of the business

Arrange tools and equipment and engage 3rd party necessary for testing and validation of results

Conduct audits to ensure product quality, processes and product-related regulatory compliance

Work with internal and external stakeholders and develop segment-specific content (eg. Marketing Plans, Technical Dota Sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, SOPs, etc.)

Competency Skill-set

Safety-first mindset

Knowledge of commercial explosives, drilling and blasting, mining and quarrying applications

Knowledge of statutory provisions such as Mining Legislation/Regulations, Mines Act, and Explosives Act and Rules

Knowledge of chemical testing tools and testing procedures

Project management capabilities

Strong communication, Presentation/ report writing skills.
