Job Description:
To lead and coordinate all aspects of vendor qualification, performance monitoring, and strategic sourcing of raw materials, packaging components, and critical materials for sterile injectable pharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring compliance with GMP and global regulatory requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Vendor Qualification & Audit:-
Identify, evaluate, and qualify new vendors for sterile injectable components (APIs, excipients, primary packaging).
Coordinate vendor audits (onsite / remote) and ensure timely closure of CAPAs in collaboration with Quality and Technical teams.
Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL) and vendor documentation as per internal SOPs and regulatory expectations.Overall responsibility for Third Party Manufacturer (TPM) and contract Testing Lab (CTL) Qualification and Management, Service Provider Qualification & Management.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all vendors comply with EU GMP, WHO, FDA, ISO 13485:2016, and other applicable guidelines.Review and approve technical agreements (QTA), change control requests, and specifications.Liaise with QA and regulatory teams to address queries during regulatory inspections.
Performance Monitoring:
Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews based on quality, compliance, delivery, and responsiveness.Track vendor issues (e.g., deviations, OOS, complaints) and drive improvement plans.
Strategic Sourcing:
Support cost optimization without compromising quality.
Assist in second-sourcing strategy to mitigate supply risks for sterile injectable manufacturing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to align vendor strategies with business and compliance objectives.Participate in cross-functional meetings, risk assessments, and supply chain reviews.
