Position: Junior Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform nucleic acid extraction from biological samples (blood, tissue, swabs)
- Conduct DNA/RNA quality checks using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, gel electrophoresis
- Assess library preparation quality for next-generation sequencing
- Execute and monitor sequencing runs using standard protocols
- Maintain reference materials, chemical inventory, and lab stocks
- Support method development, validation, and sequencing library management
- Conduct instrument calibration and routine maintenance
- Ensure proper sample handling, disposal, and documentation
- Monitor bioinformatics output and upload data to portals
- Use online tools and databases for analysis and reporting
- Present data using Excel and generate reports
- Stay updated on laboratory techniques and developments
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.Sc / B.Tech / M.Sc / M.Tech in Life Sciences or Genetics
- 1–2 years of experience in diagnostic or genomics laboratory
- Proficiency in nucleic acid extraction, quantification, and sequencing
- Experience with lab instruments and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
