Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline

Job Description:

1. Production/Operations: Ensure smooth operation of Calcium chloride (CaCl2) plant by maintain all control parameters

2. Operation of continuous Calcium Chloride (CaCl₂) Plant - both liquid and granules.

3. Handling of Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) for drying of CaCl, granules and ensuring consistent product quality.

4. Monitoring and operation of utilities: Cooling Tower, HP Steam System, Compressors, Blowers, Pumps.

5. Safe handling of CO, gas, HCI, Hydrogen, Chlorine, and CaCl, solution and granules as per SOPs.

6. Coordination with Maintenance, Utility, and Quality teams for troubleshooting and preventive actions.

7. Strict compliance with Safety Systems - PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PPE adherence, and emergency handling.

8. To prepare the SOPs for the plant operations to meet the required quality standards and to ensure implementation of approved SOPs.

9. To identify the root cause for any unforeseen and new problems and ensure immediate precautionary actions and also propose a solution for the same to the Section Head/Department Head.

10. To maintain process parameters, avoid wastage and maximize recovery for ensuring the optimized consumption of raw materials and chemicals.

11. Timely production as per the production plan and coordinate with concerned department (sales and logistics) for timely evacuation of the produced material.

12. To control the effluent generation as per the organization and statutory norms and ensure their safe handling by following required procedure, proposing and ensuring implementation of any process or technology modifications

13. To ensure that preventive maintenance schedule and autonomous schedule and norms are adhered to and the equipment is provided to maintenance in timely manner.

14.Developing and implementing Process modifications, multiskilling and job redesign to increase the productivity of the workforce at workmen level & shift incharge level.

15. Ensuring Adherence to the Safety Standard in particular to the rules formulated by the concerned departments/ committees of the organization and ensuring any Safety Observations are addressed.
