Job Overview

Lupin Limited is seeking a highly motivated Operational Excellence Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives at our Tarapur, Maharashtra facility. This key role involves leading Lean and Six Sigma projects, improving process efficiency, and fostering a culture of operational discipline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and deliver measurable business impact.

Position: Manager - Operational Excellence

Location: Tarapur, MH, IN

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact Lean and Six Sigma projects to deliver targeted results.
• Support Quality Control (QC), Operations Excellence activities, including 5S and LI/OOS reduction programs.
• Facilitate the cloning and transfer of successful projects and best practices across different manufacturing plants.
• Drive other OPEX initiatives like ADAPT and Continuous Flow Reactor installations.
• Develop and deliver local training programs on operational methodologies and tools.
• Implement and utilize World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in Chemical Technology or related engineering field.

Experience: 5-10 years of relevant work experience in Operational Excellence or a similar role within the manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry.

Technical Skills: Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), 5S methodology, TPM, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).

Soft Skills:

• Strong project management and change management abilities.
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to train, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve continuous improvement goals.
