Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Procurement Manager / Lead - Procurement to manage end-to-end sourcing of critical raw materials for our feed manufacturing units. This role demands strong commercial acumen, extensive on-ground exposure to agri-commodity markets, and the ability to drive digital procurement initiatives.
Education: Post-Graduation in Management education (Agri Business/SCM major preferred)

Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of relevant procurement experience in agri-commodities, feed, or allied industries.'
Skills: Proven negotiation skills, strong analytical abilities, and working knowledge of SAP MM and digital procurement tools are highly desirable.
Location: Nashik, Maharashtra.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, including agri-commodities, animal and vegetable proteins, etc., to ensure supply continuity for feed manufacturing.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct detailed on-field crop surveys, market assessments, and direct farmer interactions by traveling across various geographies to gather crucial market intelligence.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable domestic and global suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance and performance.
- Digital & ERP Leverage: Utilize ERP platforms like SAP MM, e-auction systems, and other digital procurement tools for operations, reporting, and analytics.
- Cost Optimization & Logistics: Support import operations, manage inbound logistics coordination, and identify cost-saving initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with production, supply chain, and finance teams to align sourcing with business goals.
