Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India (Estimated)

Intas Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager - Purchase to join our procurement team. This role is ideal for a professional with a proven track record in indirect procurement leadership within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the indirect procurement strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals and drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Oversee sourcing for diverse indirect categories, including IT, marketing, facilities, logistics, and professional services.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GxP, audit requirements).

Qualifications & Experience

Experience: 10–15 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in indirect procurement.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of procurement systems (SAP or equivalent is a must).
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in the Biotech / Pharmaceutical (Injectable) sector.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or PMP are a plus.
