About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at the cutting-edge JMD SEZ Hydrogen facility in Jamnagar. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of all instrumentation systems within the plant. You will be responsible for executing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting complex issues with DCS, PLC, and analyzer systems, and maintaining adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Instrumentation Maintenance: Perform scheduled and chance-based maintenance on DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), Analyzers, and various field instruments with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Conduct regular troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and thorough root cause analysis (RCA) to minimize downtime and prevent recurrent failures.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEF) standards, procedures, and best practices (e.g., RESOP, MIQA, CFA, DOSHE). Participate in risk assessments for all maintenance activities.
- Spares & Procurement Support: Assist management with spares inventory control, stock level maintenance, issuing parts for jobs, and coordinating procurement follow-ups with vendors, purchase teams, and stores.
- Project & Shutdown Assistance: Support minor project execution, assist with shutdown planning, budgeting, and flawless execution.
- Reliability & Reporting: Participate in reliability and integrity studies, manage obsolescence programs, prepare weekly maintenance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and maintain accurate IMS documents and equipment history records.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to junior subordinates and maintenance teams.
Education: A full-time Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant industrial experience in an instrumentation maintenance role, preferably within a large-scale manufacturing, oil & gas, refinery, or chemical processing environment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities (verbal and written).
- Deep domain knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering principles, various industry codes, and standards.
- Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC logic, and industrial analyzers is highly valued.
