Are you a skilled mechanical engineer looking to advance your career in a world-class manufacturing environment? Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is hiring an Engineer Maintenance Mechanical for the JMD SEZ RTF facility in Jamnagar.
As part of the maintenance team, you will ensure equipment reliability, oversee complex mechanical tasks, and drive operational excellence through proactive maintenance strategies.
Position: Engineer Maintenance Mechanical
Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat, India
Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance Execution: Supervise and execute mechanical maintenance tasks ensuring high quality, safety compliance, and timely completion.
- Resource Management: Mobilize resources for daily activities and manage contractor workflows effectively.
- Financial Oversight: Assist in preparing mechanical maintenance budgets and analyze cost-performance data.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct troubleshooting and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams to minimize production downtime.
- System Integrity: Maintain accurate records in SAP-PM and SAP-MM modules, including equipment history and KPI reporting.
- Reliability & Integrity: Participate in reliability studies and implement recommendations to improve equipment availability.
- Inventory Control: Identify critical spares for procurement and manage mechanical inventory.
- Shutdown Coordination: Lead and mobilize resources for planned shutdowns and turnaround activities.
- HSEF Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards (RESOP, MIQA, CFA).
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- OR Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
- Minimum 7 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
Note: Prior experience in a plant-based manufacturing environment is required.

- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of periodic, proactive, and shutdown maintenance for mechanical equipment.
