Are you an experienced EHS professional with a strong background in the API or chemical industry? Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Senior Manager - EHS to lead our safety and environmental compliance initiatives at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dewas, MP.

This critical EHS Head role requires an expert in process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe, sustainable, and compliant workplace across the site.

Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas

• The successful candidate will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS strategies, focusing on high-risk environments within API manufacturing:
• Risk Management: Lead the identification of hazardous reactions, conduct Qualitative Risk Assessments (QRA), and perform Infra Gap Analysis.
• Process Safety Management (PSM): Review and bridge gaps in process safety for all equipment/products, with expertise in API powder handling (low MIE values).
• Compliance & Systems: Ensure rigorous adherence to statutory requirements, manage IMS audits, and maintain/strengthen the Permit To Work (PTW) system.
• Emergency Preparedness: Lead the ERT (Emergency Response Team) readiness, manage OSEP documentation, and coordinate regular mock drills.
• Workplace Safety Culture: Drive continuous improvement in EHS culture through training, daily surveillance, and incident investigation using the Global EHS Portal/CAPA tracker.
• Environmental Management: Oversee overall plant environment management, workplace monitoring (noise, chemical concentrations), and implementation of the Corporate EHS Policy.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned professional ready to take ownership of EHS functions at a senior level.

Qualification:  M.Tech or Master of Environmental Science (or equivalent relevant qualification).

Experience: 18–20 years of robust experience specifically within the API/Chemical field.

Leadership Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience serving as an EHS Head or Site Safety Head is strongly preferred.
