Job Purpose
To operate and maintain packing machines to achieve quality output and shift-wise targets with maximum equipment utilization while ensuring cGMP compliance, safety, and data integrity.
Educational Qualification
Diploma in Engineering or Pharmacy
Experience Requirement
- 0 to 2 years of experience in pharma packing operations
- Knowledge of QMS, qualification documents, and cGMP preferred
- Freshers can apply
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Packing Machine Preparation & Setup
- Prepare packing machines as per production plan
- Perform calibration, cleaning, and equipment setup as per SOP
- Arrange change parts, stereo, and accessories for batch packing
Packing Operations & Quality Control
- Operate packing machines efficiently with minimum resource usage
- Perform product changeovers and machine setting adjustments
- Conduct in-process checks to ensure product quality
- Handle labeling, rejection control, and micro-stoppage reduction
- Ensure cGMP compliance during packing, cleaning, and line clearance
Documentation & cGMP Compliance
Execute and update online documentation as per cGMP
Maintain machine logs, BPRs, and SOP documentation
Ensure data integrity before document submission
Support training related to equipment operation and cGMP
Safety & Compliance
Perform safe packing operations and interlock checks
Ensure PPE usage by all workmen
Report near-miss incidents to the officer in-charge
Training & Skill Development
Train operators on secondary packing machines
Conduct safety and housekeeping training
Learn new machines and support troubleshooting activities
Key Challenges & Expectations
Achieve shift targets despite resource constraints
Maintain cGMP during system downtime
Reduce rejection levels and improve yield
Ensure 100% SOP and safety compliance
Key Interactions
Stores team for packing material availability
Engineering & maintenance teams for preventive maintenance
External maintenance contractors (as required)
