Job Responsibilities:

• Abide by safe operating procedures within defined operating ranges
• Act as first responder during emergencies
• Suggest and implement safety improvements
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous chemicals and plant waste
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the assigned area
• Support contract workmen for safe working practices
• Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklists, and ODR instruments
• Coordinate with Shift Superintendent / Panel Executive
• Collect and deliver process samples for laboratory testing
• Report abnormal observations immediately to Shift Engineer / Panel Officer
• Perform handover and takeover of equipment from maintenance
• Conduct condition monitoring using portable instruments (ODR)
• Carry out minor troubleshooting and maintenance
• Operate equipment efficiently to reduce chemical waste
• Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities
• Follow management systems like TQM, EFQM, QCC, 5S
• Maintain shift logs for equipment and area
• Follow instructions from supervisors and panel officers
• Act as a Member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad

Educational Qualification: 

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• B.Sc. (Chemistry)
• ITI / NCTVT Certification

Skills & Competencies Required
