Key Skills and Job Responsibilities

• Abide by safe operating procedures within operating range.
• Act as first responder to emergencies.
• Suggest safety improvements and follow safety guidelines.
• Safe handling of hazardous materials and plant wastes.
• Contribute to housekeeping and waste segregation.
• Support contract workmen on safe working practices.
• Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklist, and ODR instruments.
• Coordinate closely with shift superintendent and panel executive.
• Collect and deliver samples from field to laboratory for testing.
• Report abnormal observations to shift engineer or panel executive.
• Handover and takeover of equipment from maintenance.
• Perform condition monitoring using portable instruments (ODR).
• Perform minor troubleshooting and minor maintenance activities.
• Operate equipment efficiently and support waste reduction initiatives.
• Identify and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Follow management systems such as TQM, EFQM, QCC, and 5S.
• Maintain shift logs for respective area and equipment.
• Follow instructions from shift superintendent, engineer, or panel officer.
• Act as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad.

• Good housekeeping practices.
• Upkeep of fire and safety equipment in assigned area.
• Maintaining field logbooks and LLF checklists.
• Segregation and handling of plant waste.
• Maintaining equipment health and reporting abnormalities.
