Key skill or Job Description:
- Responsible for identification and ensuring compliance of regulatory requirements applicable to the site
- Prepare and update compliance calendar for site and submit report periodically
- Ensure effective implementation of Process Safety Management system in all process areas
- Conduct process risk analysis by conducting HAZOPs for new process & products at various stages of product life cycles
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis, Safety Audits and Surveys in plant areas
- Management of changes at site with continuous EHS awareness
- Ensure best industrial hygiene practices; conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure analysis
- Analyze accidents, incidents & near miss incidents to find root cause and monitor CAPA
- Prepare procedures / SOPs for Safety Management System implementation
- Formulate procedures for safe handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Chemicals / materials
- Ensure healthiness of Fire protection system and emergency equipment
- Prepare and update site emergency plan
- Conduct firefighting training and emergency plan training
- Conduct Pre-start up safety reviews
- Guide team of safety professionals for EHS excellence
- Prepare HAZMAT and MOCK drill procedures and conduct drills
- Prepare site PPE matrix and provide proper PPE & emergency equipment
- Conduct workplace monitoring to identify hazards
- Identify training needs and implement training calendar
- Drive contractor safety management and review safety performance
- Ensure effective work permit system and LOTO system implementation
- Maintain area risk register and ensure risk control measures
- Monitor performance of waste treatment and management facility
