Key Skill or Job Description:
- Lead and execute high-level scientific research, innovate new product development or process improvements, and provide technical leadership within the R&D department to meet business objectives
- Lead and manage R&D projects, including feasibility studies, process optimization, and technology transfer to manufacturing
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new scientific technologies and approaches to drive innovation and product superiority
- Design and conduct advanced experiments (or supervise their execution) with high reproducibility
- Develop and validate new analytical methods to support product development and life cycle management
- Author high-quality technical reports, SOPs, patents, and regulatory filing
- Represent the R&D department in cross-functional project teams (QA, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.)
- Guide and mentor junior scientists and research associates on experimental design and data interpretation
- Ensure all lab activities adhere to safety standards (GLP/GMP) and maintain proper record-keeping
- Deep expertise in analytical instrumentation (HPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, NMR)
- Exceptional analytical and logical problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical challenges
- Proficiency with data analysis tools, LIMS, and Microsoft Office Suite or other laboratory software
- Successful completion of R&D milestones within timelines and budget
- Quality of scientific output and reproducibility of lab results
- Efficiency in coordinating technology transfer to commercial manufacturing
