Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering
Key Skill or Job Description:
- Conduct day-to-day activities by following company policies, SOPs, processes and work instructions.
- Identify the LLF (Look, Listen and Feel) of equipment and maintain equipment health.
- Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs and checklists.
- Support Shift Superintendent in monitoring process parameters and resolving process-related issues.
- Perform equipment handover and takeover following PTW and LOTO procedures.
- Collect field samples for laboratory testing and perform gas testing such as LEL and Oxygen level using portable instruments.
- Maintain shift logs, operational records and inventory of logbooks, formats, spares and consumables.
- Ensure housekeeping, hazardous waste segregation and maintenance of fire & safety equipment.
- Act as First Responder during emergencies and participate as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad.
- Understand rotary machine seal systems, seal pot level, pressure and equipment health.
- Understand compressor lubrication systems including temperature, pressure and flow parameters.
- Monitor LO/LC valve status and identify field instrument locations.
- Support risk assessment activities and conduct toolbox talks before job execution.
- Execute plant operations in accordance with safety operating procedures.
- Report near miss incidents and support continuous process safety improvement.
- Follow IMS, ISO, TQM, OMS, PSM, QCC and 5S management systems.
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, Nitrogen Gas Safety and Line Break procedures.
