1. Chemical Engineer – Shutdown Project

Job Location: HPCL Vizag Refinery, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

Department: Process Plant Operations / Refinery Shutdown

Designation: Chemical Engineer

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma

Experience: Relevant experience in process plant operations and shutdown/start-up activities preferred

Project Duration: 30 to 90 days

Required Experience and Skills:

• Supervision of process plant field operations and refinery unit shutdown/start-up activities.
• Ability to read P&IDs and identify process equipment, piping systems, valves, drains, vents, utilities and sampling points.
• Practical exposure to valve line-up verification, isolation/restoration assistance, draining, depressurization, venting, flushing, steaming, purging and gas-freeing.
• Experience in equipment handover/takeover, blind register maintenance and operational readiness checks.
• Experience in commissioning, start-up and stabilization is desirable.
• Knowledge of LOTO/isolation philosophy and utility systems is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of process equipment, piping systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to work in a team and ensure safe and efficient shutdown execution.
