Key Skill or Job Description:
- Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner during the shift.
- Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures.
- Identify the LLF (Look, Listen and Feel) of equipment and maintain their health to ensure smooth operations; identify and report issues with equipment performance.
- Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs and checklists and maintain HSEF related equipment health and file check sheets.
- Support the Shift Superintendent to monitor process parameters and coordinate with the maintenance team to resolve CP related issues.
- Perform handover/takeover of equipment from the maintenance team while adhering to PTW/LOTO procedure and workplace safety management system.
- Collect and deliver field samples for laboratory testing and perform gas testing such as LEL and O₂ level using portable instruments.
- Record and document site operations in shift logs and perform inventory management of log books, formats, spares and consumables.
- Ensure proper housekeeping by handling hazardous materials, waste segregation and upkeep of fire & safety equipment.
- Act as a first responder during emergencies and serve as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad.
- Understand rotary machine seal systems and the importance of seal pot level and pressure.
- Understand lubrication systems of compressors and monitor temperature, pressure and flow.
- Know LO/LC valve status and field locations of various instruments.
- Support regular risk assessment during handover/takeover and conduct toolbox talks before job execution.
- Execute process-related activities as per safety operating procedures to reduce process failures and incidents.
- Identify, document and report near miss incidents.
- Ensure adherence to IMS, ISO, TQM, OMS, PSM, QCC, 5S, LOTO, N₂ gas safety and line break procedures.
